Racheal: where were you born?

Shannon:  California! I’m a native California and can’t imagine living anywhere else.

Racheal: did you home school or go to school?

Shannon:  I went to public school from kindergarten through high school. In college, I chose to attend Biola University—a private Christian college. I loved public school growing up and never wanted to go anywhere else. I was able to lead some friends to the Lord along the way and grow in my faith as a result. I chose Biola because I wanted to minor in biblical studies.  

Racheal: whats your favorite family memoir when you where growing up? like what tradition?

Shannon:  As a kid, Friday night was always family night. We’d go out to dinner, play a game or watch a movie together. That was always really fun. A tradition my husband and I have is collecting a nativity set from all of our international travels. Then at Christmas we can fill our home with reminders that Jesus truly is Lord of every tongue, tribe and nation.

Racheal: what is your favorite book? 

Shannon: The Bible. It’s honestly the only book that remains constantly in my number one position. I try to read 50-60 books per year, so my other favorites are always changing based on what I’m currently reading.

Racheal: what is your favorite music?

Shannon:  I like a mix of different music. Chris Tomlin is probably my favorite contemporary Christian artist, and Brad Paisley is my favorite Country artist.
