I knew about Douglous Macarthur before so when I saw this bio about him, I read it.
Douglas Macarthur was a American army genral in World war 2 and world war 2 and the Korean war. He was an American icon in the twentieth century. Famous for the words" I shall return" He furfilled them, returning to the Philippians.

1984 was written in 1947,

1984 is a depressing tale of the future, of the big brother, of communism, Hate weeks, and your every move is watched, theirs thought police that can read your thoughts. and people disapear, nobody knows how many years have passed or days. it could be weeks....

Winston hates the big brother, he is causious, then he finds a place, above an antique store is a nice room, full of antique furniture, and  theirs no telascreen that can watch him. So he rents the place and gets away sometimes in the week....its a nice thought. no one watching you...then theirs the girl, Julia...

its depressing but the book rings true, I liked it. its a classic.

my opinion: Kate the making of a princess was about Kate middleton and how she and William met- she was on a cat walk wearing a black bra and underwear and a veil over it ( I was like: really????)  and thats when William fell in love with her. The first half of the book was about Kate's grandparents and great, great great grandparents. that part was boring. and when it came to Kate Middleton their seemed to always be ''sipping cocktails or wine," mentioned and parties they went to and love and kisses.

so I liked it but I was kinda disapointed. but if you want a book about Kate middleton its a good read.

To kill a mockingbird is a classic. you'll want to reread it from chapter 1 to the end all over again!
I fell in love with the charatars, Atticus Finch a lawyer of maycomb county and his two kids Scout and Jem. And With Dill Harrison. its such a good book! I wish I could tell you more about the book but that would be giving it away.
you have to read it! and you'll love it I bet.

my opinion: I liked the ending a lot! it makes you sigh happily.

my opioion: I really liked it for a basic bio! it was the story of him! and the auther  wasn't attacking him

 or making him look really good or bad.

Mr. Sherman who is a professer wants to sail over the world in a year in his balloon he made. but He lands on the Island of Krakatoa, the Island that is said to be uninhabitable.  But he finds people living on it and Diamond minds! But the Island people don't want him to leave because or else the Island would attract a lot of attention and people would get the diamonds. 


My opinion: It was so bizzare! and so funny and for all ages!


should you read it? yes!

based on a true story, the auther fills in with her imagination for some parts.
The Todd family in Arkansas heard about the land in Oregon and they jumped for it. they brought with them a teenage boy who wanted to go with them. they left their town as a one wagon and then joined other wagons. some families turned back on the trail. Some died on the trail and others fell with sickness. Indians, heat and hail and rain along the trail. it wasn't easy. and the food got boring after a while. Mary Ellen finds herself wanting to eat veggies, green leefy veggies.

my opionion: I liked the cover of the book. and the book it was a good read in first person from Mary Ellen Todd.
